Description
Craft Beer, Done Right

ISLEY BREWING COMPANY is a Micro Craft brewery located in Richmond, Virginia.

We were the first Craft brewery to open in the Scott’s Addition area in the Fall of 2013 by owner and Richmond native, Mike Isley.

It’s been our intention from the beginning to make the best craft beer with the best ingredients for our guests to enjoy in our expansive tasting room.

To this day, our founding brewer, Josh Stamps, is still turning out award winning beers and winning people’s hearts with his artisan’s approach to brewing.

Stamp's accomplishments include:

- Choosy Mother ranking #23 in the state of Virginia by Beer Advocate, and voted Best Beer in Richmond 2020
- Creating the best IPA in Virginia 2014 by CAH
- Keeping us in the top 3 Breweries in Richmond for 3 years running
- Helping make Isley one of the top 50 brewery destinations in the world to visit by USA TODAY!

We are committed to our guests and retailers in continuing to earn your respect and loyalty. Our goal is to make YOU love what we do as much as WE love what we do.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a murky red with some ringing white head. Nose is cool, like a high end radler, plenty of grapefruit, both zest and fruit, some lemon too, a little soda. Flavor follows, lots of grapefruit juice, plenty of lightly bitter zest, light malt, light orange too, some grass. Crisp on the finish, scary drinkable.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a hazy orange amber with a ring of white head. Nose has plenty of traditional spice, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, all fairly restrained, root veg, some breakfast bread, light yeast. Flavor is very sweet, lots of brown sugar and malt, more of the expected spice, a little carrot cake, toffee, some raisin too. Full bodied, sweet finish. Not sure why more breweries don’t combine dubbels and pumpkin beers. Seems like a smart combo.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a watery, deep brown with a ring of off white head. Nose has... peanut butter! Also malt, toast, some cracker, creamy oats, a little molasses. Flavor is just like toast with peanut butter, a little nutella too, light coffee. Dry finish. Very drinkable. Kitschy, sure, but pretty well done.
