Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear gold with white bubbles. Aroma is mild bourbon and spice? Near med body. Flavor is light astringent wood, hint of bourbon and a fair amount of winter spices. Bourbon builds with time, but the spices do that too. Good cider, finishing towards dry.

12oz can from Total Wine
Pours clear pale yellow with a small white ring, no lacing. Aroma is ginger, green apples and herbal. Flavors are similar, green apples, ginger, tart, spicy with a dry finish
This would taste great on a hot day. I could also see this a great beer to take to a tasting to have as a palate cleanser.

Bomber from Whole Foods in Davis, CA. Gold pour with a white smear. Aroma is apple with a very, very slight hint of brandy, if you really inhale deeply. Maybe a touch of oak too. Med body. First flavor is tannic wood and apple skin, but there does seem to be some honey. Why do people put honey in otherwise good stuff? It does have a woody tannic note, and there’s still a light brandy aspect, but that is somewhat spoiled by the honey. Recommendation: No honey and more time with the wood. If it wasn’t for the high ABV, I’d be more negative.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours very light gold with a transient (very) white head. Lots of carbonation here. Near med body. Apple aroma. Flavor is mildly tart apple skin, but it’s really more sweet than tart. Finishes undry.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very light gold with a slight smear for head. Aroma is a bit green apple, a tad fruity and has a spice note. Near med body. Flavor is tart apple with some light fruit , but apparently I took apple for spice in the aroma. Not getting spice in flavor. Summing up, it’s slightly fruity, tart cider. But the fruit sugar renders it less dry than some "pure" ciders. Still, it’s pretty dry. Better than many "pure" ciders, flavor wise.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours perry color with a little gold; some white bubbles. Aroma reminiscent of ginger ale. Med body. Flavor is slightly sweet ginger apple (nearly typed ale). Very nice. Like ginger a lot.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a slight white head. Aroma is cinnamon. Med body. Flavor reminds of baked apples covered with cinnamon - minus a "baked" flavor! And it’s tart. The flavors really impact the mouth. It finishes tart, cinnamon, and maybe some other spices, but for me it’s very cinnamon. Nice.

Can. Pours a mellow yellow with a slight green hue and a white head that dissipates quickly and immediately. Aroma has a good amount of dry earthy apples with a bit of a ginger bite. Flavor starts with sweet apple and ginger that evolves in to more of an earthy apple finish.
