Shared with Farees. Appearance: murky copper with a beige head. Aroma: oak, dark fruits, a bit of booze, maybe. Taste: along the same lines, quite sweet, dusty and earthy, lots of dark fruits and barrel character. Not nicely balanced and smooth, though. Overall: not bad.

Draft pour at Chuck's 85th. Orange mango juice appearance. Thin head. Aroma presents intense sour, with tons of orange fruit and mango, with a boozy, though not rum specific aroma. Flavor is very fruity as well, quite tart, with orange, mango, and a touch of lemon. Tastes strong, but the intense sour character buries any boozy burn to it. Sugary taste as well, but again, sour to bury. Ultimately unique and interesting. Surprised this didn't scream rum to me as much as I expected. Solid triple fruit beer.

On draft at Urban Family, Ballard. Dense magenta pour, that sits somewhere just a tad before smoothie status. Thin pink foam ring. Intense sour aroma, berry focused. Flavor has a wild front. Maybe even too wild as it gets a little pukey for me. Hard to look past it, but that odd flavor fades and lingers on a tart lemon pie, which is one of my very favorite flavors on this planet. Lemon outweighs the blueberry, despite the appearance clearly suggesting a blueberry bomb. Layered in flavor. Unique. This is close to being a standout for me.

Draft pour at Urban Family, Ballard. Clean and shiny golden pour, tons of sticky head and lacing. Bold grassy hop profile, lingering intense bitterness which puts this in ideal IPA category for me. Wellnbalanced aroma with a sturdy grain and aromatic grassy hop profile. Has a crisp side, and makes this easy drinking in the sunshine, but it also has a bite. Very good IPA.

Aromas are bread, wet grain, a little floral and a touch hops. Flavors are similar to nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation with a lightly sweet finish. Decent.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours black with a small tan bead. Aroma is complex, with a really nice whiskey barrel character, accentuated by the port, and with gentle roast underneath. Flavour is heavier on the port, with a pretty remarkable port wine expression, accentuated by gentle whiskey barrels, some burnt sugars, and molasses. Low residual sweetness for the style, leaving deep, complex port barre notes. Wonderful.

Tasting at Matt's, can
Dark brown colour, almost black. Caramel flavour, malt; it's sweet, there's vanilla, mild vinous note; the mouthfeel is smooth. Good.

Poured from 355mL can. Mostly opaque dark brown with small beige head. Feint wood glue, bourbon, wood, dark fruits, decent, but some mild rough edges. Okay.
