Pint pour at Mason Social as "Ella Kolsch". Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light citrus, some light peppery notes and a light grassy crispness. Flavor was light citrus, grassy. Pretty tasty.

I’ve always wondered what a Kolsch pale ale tasted like. (A pale ale in Cologne?). Now I know. Hardley tastes at all like the brewer didn’t make up their mind what to brew until the last minute. Light citrus hops and decent barley profile. Light tangy sour finish. Tap at glen’s.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a very hazy golden amber color. Aroma had lots of lots of tropical fruits, light bitterness. Some light booze shines through this one. Not my fav, but growing on me.

Dark, almost cola color with a small off-white head. While this doesnt ’pop’ all that much, it is very tasty for a mild. Chocolate notes dominate aroma, light sweet roast the flavor.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light dried fruits, sweet malts. Finish has a touch of sweet malts, some yeast notes. Interesting. Nice to see this a bit lower in the ABV department since a lot of these interpretations are well over 7%.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma was sweet malts, some grain, touch of earthy hops and a touch of sweet fruits. Pretty crushable after a hike.

16oz tulip at RFD DC pours a very hazy gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose has plenty of candy sugar, spice, floral notes, straw, pear. Flavor has more sticky fruit, pear, maybe some starfruit, straw, candy, spice, yeast, mild grain, a little funk. Full, cloying finish. Needs tweaking.

Draft at Glen’s. Opaque cloudy brown color, thin tan head. Aroma of raw brownie dough and lemony esters. Taste us fruity chocolate. Decent enough.
