8oz pour at Craftsman pours a watery brown with a ring of off white head. Nose has roasted notes, toast, mild smoke, some licorice. Flavor has some of the minerality I expected, malty, toast, heavy bread crust. Clean finish

750 purchased at Greenville Beer Exchange - 6.3% abv, certified organic - pours a turbid orange - nose is medium sweet, with strong citric and tropical character, a bit of rustic muskiness, light phenolics, dust/basement - low carbonation makes the texture a little watery - soft mouthfeel - flavor is much less sweet than the nose - some citric sweetness starts things, but a moderate, prickly acidity cuts through the middle - this is followed by medium to high spiciness and phenolics - mild muskiness in a lightly rustic finish - overall, the flavor is dulled a bit due to the amount of yeast, but this shows a fair amount of promise - I’d be interested to see where this brewery goes.
