Month old pint can A: Poured a tall frothy head atop a clear gold body. Head fell to thick clumps and patches of lace. S: Light scent of sweet/tart orange/tangerine and faint caramel. T: Bitter and pithy as hell with tart citrus pulp behind. Piney to finish. M: Low soft carbonation, light body and resinous finish. O: Lack of malt balance hurts a bit but if you miss bitterness try this.

11 day old pint can A: Pale yellow pour with thick chalky haze. Big long lasting foamy head. S: Sweet fresh lemon and bread scent. Like lemon cake. T: Lowish bitterness but lemon flavors lead with zest and pith into wheaty and biscuity malts. Low sweetness compared with the nose. M: Soft fine carbonation and smooth texture gives an elegant mouthfeel. Finishes clean and fairly dry. O: Nice surprise. Tasty and tastefully done lemon bomb. Quite good.

Draft at NC Rare Beer Fest in Durham. Hazy deep amber color, fluffy light tan head. Earthy aroma with tannins, herbs. Taste has subtle fruit, much earth, light booze. Weird, but a good festival beer.
