Draught. Amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some toffee, fruity and mild wooden tones. Flavour is floral, fruity, some wooden bitter tones with mild sweet caramel and grains to it as well. Nice sweetish bitter finish.

(Can) Black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, treacle, butterscotch and a touch of tobacco. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with notes of sweet liquorice, vanilla, chocolate truffles, butterscotch, strong black coffee, dark bread, raisins, treacle, tobacco and a mild roasty bitterness in a sweet and boozy finish. Full body, sweet. Rich and tasty, but far too sweet. Still, very nice.

Best before 2021 but actually still ok. Not defective. Clear blood red colour. It's thick too and very low in carbonation. It's really close to pure cherry juice. Very juicy, pulpy taste. Luckily not much cherry pit.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty, dark malty, slightly caramel malty and slightly woody aroma, hints of cocoa, Bourbon, some oak, some toffee, dark toffee, minimally disguised, background-ish notes of coffee, whiffs of cinnamon and alcohol, vanilla. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark malty, minimally caramel malty, slightly spicy and alcoholic, notes of cinnamon, some coffee, dark caramel, toffee; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Very nice composition, sadly a bit overcarbonated and somehow light bodied - enjoyable sipper nevertheless.

(Bottle) Dark reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, resin, orange peel, pine needles and pink grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with caramel, dried apricots, orange peel, pink grapefruit, burnt sugar, black-currant and a generous resiny/piney bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Rich and tasty, but the sharpness and sweetness makes it a bit unbalanced. Still, nice one.

Draught@TCBW2019. Hazy orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, some slight wood, mild toffee and some herbal notes. Flavour is toffee, some citrus, tropical fruits, mild herbs as well as some freshly cut grass.

Bottled. Deep reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, some pine, resin and mild toffeeish tones. Flavour is zesty, caramel, and some resin and mild toffeeish tones with some alcohol tones. Nice bitterness, but a bit too sweet.

Draught@TCBW2018. Hazy pink colour with a small pinkish head. Aroma is raspberries, some slight lactic notes and mild tartness. Flavour is mildly sour wood, some tart berries, raspberries and some slight yeasty tones. Nicely balanced and refreshing.
