Mad mex but I think it was not as hazy as the photo. Nearly neutral nose. Hazy pale but not milk shake muddy as pictured. Yes, I also can't find a real nose, for an IPA, especially for a spruce, no? You know, gimmie some diesel or BO man?? First taste bud impression is heavy hops of the rubber inner-tube variety. Long medium developing on style nasty middle. Can't figger out the spruce on this but don't most IPA have some natural chewing on spruce effects without the tree needles being added? Just asking. Like IPA, you need this on yer bucket list. Is it my imagination or; are many IPA getting more co2 sizzle? They used to be much more mouth coating flat, no?

On tap at mad mex. Interestingly pleasant nose. Off spiced initial taste. Gets more bitter as session continues. Bitter sharp almost astringent in the middle Not impressed. Think: Finish is like chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Long bitter ending. Terribly on style.

Had this on tap at mad mex robinson, nice place. First lets say there are so many stupid straight up versions of this kabuto that I care not if this is the right spot for this rating. Pretty much, every version tastes the same; big straight up ass bitterness that coats yer mouth and ruins yer palate for a day or two. No lie. From the start its got a slight diesel BO nose. Its cloudy pale, somewhat like a NEIPA. Thick bitter IPA impy hops on the palate. Nasty length bitter hops. A mouth-coating long lasting over the top long bitter finish, whew. Not impressed, just like any other ubiquitous IPA out there, strong with alky content, er not.

Pure cinnamon bomb. Smooth base beer, nice thickness and lightly boozy. Vanilla is subtly there, plenty of coffee, but so much cinnamon. Not as smooth as Abraxas, but definitely a contender. Bourbon smoothens it out.
