Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a bright golden color with a medium sized fluffy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy, tart and citric with a pronounced bite. The flavor was medicinal, perfumey, very tart, dry and chalky. Very long finish with medicine and band aid. Medium body. Awful.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a small foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with chocolate syrup, coffee beans and almost black licorice. The flavor was bitter, tangy and quite roasty with notes of brewed coffee and vanilla. Long roasty malt and brewed coffee finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a red-caramel color with a medium sized creamy orange-beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was rather faint but tangy and sweetish with an almost butter note an a bit of fruity hops. The flavor was butter, tangy and sourish with a fruity hop note. Medium length finish. Medium body with a slick and oily mouthfeel.

The flavor was bitter and tart with notes of lemon, spruce, fruity hops and a hint of medicine at the end. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

The aroma was sweetish with molasses and a bit of dark fruits. The flavor was woody, dryish and malty with hints of molasses, dark fruit and a bit of fruity hops underneath. Medium length finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Tasty.

The flavor was tangy, honey, bready an had a hint of olive and phenol. A touch astringent underneath. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

My sample came in at 5.8%. A darker IPA, not as dark as iced tea but close. Slightly cloudy. Smell is almost IPA contemporary BO of yer mate but not quite. The rest ofthe olfactory is simply mild IPA flowery perfume. From the start, you know this is in yer face IPA but seriously, as the session continues, the effect multiplies until its IPA claws sink into the coating of the inside of yer mouth on the finish. Yes, more like an IPa, not a session IMHO.

At the brewpub. Clear but darkish beer. Slight slaggy aroma. Not bad initially on the the nose. Nice rocky head. Has a start that includes some hop flavors but that fades rapidly as the session continues. Slag is in the flavor as well. Fairly flat on the tongue. Mild for an amber ale. Bitterness build to the finish but never gets in yer face.

At the brewpub. Nice big rocky head. Fairly clear pale yellow. Has a slight hoppy aroma which makes me think yes this is a wheat ale and not a hefe. However, from the start on the tongue, this beer has very mild beer impressions, somewhat like a wit bier. Yes, a mild backbone with tart impressions. Barely any co2 in this brew. Well reserved and very civilized. If this truely is a wheat ale, its one of the better wheat ales I’ve tasted, JMHO. Goes down way too easy, fer sure. Even approaches mild hefe in effects. Towards the finish, some of the hop does stick you in the buds but its barely there, really liked this stuff.

Yes, fer sure this is a RED ale. Not too often you see a beer called red actually maroon or red in color. Really noce head and lacing on this one. Very mild ipa aroma in the background, otherwise just clean beer smell. Friendly on the nose. Taste fools you. First its a little fruity then it goes into bitter overdrive with the hops,, yes, same thing with each big swig. Personality builds thru the session. At the end you know you had an IPA, fer sure.
