On tap at the Boise brewery Clear very dark brown with reddish edges and highlights. Thin but dense nitro head and lacing. Mild roast aroma and more subtle roasted and sweet caramelized flavors. Nice bitterness at the end. But for the claimed 8% this is a pretty smooth and easy rye Porter.

Growler from Albertsons. Perfect for a cold snowy day. Dark brown pour, high fluffy dark beige head subsides to skin, leaving sticky lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma favors the bourbon, while taste adds the dark roast malts, hints of coffee and chocolate. Finishes slightly dry and plenty warm. Well rounded RIS, complimented by the BBA.

Growler from Albertsons. The bourbon barrels work well with this oud bruin, pushing it over into dubbel territory. Nothing exciting in the pour, but the barrel aging is immediately evident in the aroma.Taste also is wonderfully rich, again the barrels temper the sour nature of the beer, bringing out some sweetness, dark pit fruit. Wonderful on the nose and tongue, even if the body feels a bit thin.
