Keg at World of Beer Charlottesville. Slightly hazy copper, large creamy tan head, good retention, nice thick lacing. Aroma of rye, earth, floral notes, pale malt. The taste is toasted malt, rye, lemon. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

16 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Shaker pint. Dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of whiskey, oak, dark fruit. Tastes of harsh whiskey, oak, light acetone, dark fruit. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Tough to drink, left a few ounces behind.

32oz growler pours a clear, dark orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose has orange, black tea, malt, some clear crystal malt, a little soap. Flavor is tannic with tea, orange peel, grass, soap, lemon, caramel, a little artificial sweeteners. Finishes tannic and bitter.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla, cocoa, light caramel. Tastes of vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, dark chocolate, bitter roast. Medium body with a dry finish. Will re-visit later, palate may have been slightly shot from some IPAs.
