Tap. Pours lightly hazy Amber, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma is Bready, malty, some caramel. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, malty, Bready, a bit metallic, some lingering bitterness. Medium body. Solid example of a style I just can’t get into.

Tap at West Coast Invitational 2015. Pours amber gold with a slight whitish head. Aroma is dank. Med + body. Flavor is dank, dank, dank. No kidding. It’s incredibly hoppy with lots of flavors. Mosaic? Sure. Why not.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours lite gold with a creamy white head. Mildly sour citrus aroma. Med body or nearly. Flavor is very mild citrus with a moderate sour, and brett accents. It laces. It’s tasty.

Enjoyed at gabf 2014. It pours with a nice deep crystal clear gold body that has thin copper hues and supporting a tall light tan head. The mild aroma offers up some citrus notes, a dash of an earthy lime sort of thing going on as well as some malts that have a faint doughiness sense to them. The taste is an even mix of sweet maltiness and sort of citrus tangerine and slightly lime hoppiness. The hops create a balanced sense of bitterness and hop flavor but the sweet malts seem to have a thin edge of caramel that doesn’t really go well with the rest of the experience.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours ruddy and dark - almost ripe red plum flesh - with a creamy near beige head. Aroma is bourbon and honey and fruit. Med + or full body. Flavor is bourbon, honey and med dark fruit. A little wood with time. Quite tasty.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours pale gold. Fruity hop aroma. Med body. Flavor is fruity hop - and the down side is lack of caramel. So the underlying flavor is not quite "standard". It is very good, finishing about as bitter as a good pilsner.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours rather orange gold with a creamy white head. Aroma makes me think of apricot. Med minus body. Hop is not strong or very bitter. It is "crisp and clean". Better than the usual light ale. Much better.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours very dark brown/black with a little head. Aroma is very coffee. Med + body. Flavor is rich coffee and some light chocolate. Makes me think of mocha. And of course dark malt. Finishing a ways from dry. Quite smooth and tasty.

Tap at the brewery taproom. Pours dark and ruddy with a beige head. Fruity aroma. Med + body. Flavor is nicely malty with a lot of hop I can’t really decipher. It is pretty balanced, but is a bit of dry. Nice, delicious beer.
