(On tap) Unusual summer beer from Nørrebro: a pale, top-fermented ginger spiced beer - with lime! Very exotic indeed. Very pronounced flavour from the ginger with acidic, citrusy notes reminding me of a shandy - or Radler. Nice quencher on a hot summers day - if nothing more. 060604

(On tap) Pilsener golden and hence not as fully golden as your typical Czech pils. Head is almost absent. Incredibly delicious, flowery, hoppy nose - extremely refined. Very malty, sweetish body and only a moderate bitterness. Lovely pilsener. 260404

(On tap) Apparently the first ever commercially brewed Danish barley wine. This is not exactly pretty - greyish brown and unfiltered with a small, nitrogen-like head. Served very cold in a brandy glass to emphasize it’s exclusiveness. Extremely fullbodied and potent with a very distinct bitterness. Almost vinous and port-like. The strongest brew in Denmark - and my favourite national. A truly great brew. 110404

Draught at the brewpub, RBESG. Fresh and aged versions. I liked the fresh one better, so my ratings are for that one. Comments aged version: Cloudy brown colour, decent head. Yeasty and strong wort aroma, smells kind of "unfinished / immature". (5/10) Flavour is worty sweet, again "unfinished / immature". (5/10) Not my favourite this one. Overall 11/20.
Comments fresh version:
Cloudy brown colour. Aroma is malty and "fresher" than the aged one, fruity elements. Some oaky notes too. Flavour is malty / worty sweet - too sweet. Still better than the aged one.

Draught at the brewpub, RBESG. Notes of the "normal" version (which is rated here): Brown colour. Lovely hoppy aroma. Flavour is pure "hop juice" on a moderately malty background. A "demanding" beer, but not too extreme.
Notes of the randallized version: Exciting and stimulating hoppy aroma. (9/10) Flavour is a lovely hoppy explosion from start to finish, with barely enough malts to support it. (9/10) Very bitter aftertaste. Overall 17/20.

(On tap) This is 5,2% ABV. Red like cherry juice, even the small head is pink. Lambic?? My ass. Rumour has it, that this was some bottom-fermented beer that got infected and the brewer tried to "save" it by adding berry juice. Money rules - you shouldn’t try to fool your customers. 110404

(On tap) Clear, deep amber colour with a small head. Full-bodied and solid with a distinct malty sweetness balanced by a potent bitterness reaching into the aftertaste. Comes very close to it’s German ideals. A solid if not exactly sophisticated brew. 110404

(On tap) Clear, pale pilsener golden with a small, white head. Vague caramel aroma, whilst the hops don’t really show. Medium body with lightly sweet, malty accents quickly balanced by rather bitter hops. A slight, floral touch but in general the hop character is a bit disappointing - they leave more bitterness than aroma. But at least this was a clean sample. 160906

(On tap) Golden beer with a small, creamy head. Hmm, this is not how I remember it: A strange acidity fighting with the bitterness to gain the drinker’s attention. They both succeed, but this is certainly no pleasure. This must be off and I reckon it calls for a re-rate sometime. 4/3/4/2/9=2,2 110404

Orange amber, amber head. Yeasty and herbal aroma. Very piney , dry IPA-like aroma - doesnt really strike me as a dubbel.

Golden green, creamy head. Neutral, slightly citric aroma. Ashen yeast taste, boring fruity middle, slightly ashen aftertaste. Medium body.
