Foxy-amber; good amber tinted head. Nice, fresh hops smell, citrussy. Beer is too warm on tasting, but all the same, this is a hoppy good ale in a good English tradition. good sweet underbuild of crystal malts, but hops are everywhere; flowery palate. Light to medium body. Sweeter finish. By far the best try from the Norrebro trio Jacob & the Hobbit poured us. Thanks, guys!

Pale, pale amber, muddy; no head. Citrus-hops, but sweet at the same time. This is an English IPA with foreign hops. Not bitter, but not sweet neither. OK, but not great, could do with some more hops. Very flat, like a leftover bitter. Overall impression - see above.

Hazy chestnut colour, little yellowish head. Nose yields ink, mushrooms, fresh pastry & some unidentified spice... though ginger might be a good guess. Taste as of Madeira-with-mushrooms sauce, with a bit of soy sauce (not salt). Speculoos, sweetish but never cloying. Medium filled. Beer drops a bit dead, but has a mocca-like aftertaste. OK for a special bottled draught. Fresh from the tap, I imagine it to be impressive. Big thanks to Jacob & the Hobbit.

A pitch black beer with no head - not the color I expected from a Brown Ale. The aroma is powerful of licorice and roasted malts. The flavor is great; malty, roasted malts, licorice, and a really good bitter finish from a combination of malt and hop bitterness. A really great beer.

[2003 Version 6.5% ABV] The aroma is spicy with notes of cloves. The color is an unclear brown and it has no head. The flavor is sweet and rather complex with notes of cloves, oranges, prunes, plums, and dry wood. The alcohol runs prickling over the tongue before it ends on a long aftertaste of dates and prunes. It has a nice palate. A good Christmas brew. [2004 version 5.8% ABV] This has a different spice combination than the 2003 version: An unclear deep red beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet spicy. The flavor is sweet with loads of cloves, cinnamon, and oranges. A real Christmas brew execpt for the cold serving temperature. [6/3/7/3/14]

Dark color. Creamy big head. Nice moka aroma; light fudge and malt. Sweet and wrapping the mouth in the beginning, with a rising coffee flavor. This is the only beer with the pleasure of coffee! I could drink liters…

Wonderful for the harmony, this Cappuccino beer.

Cloudy amber color. Some malt and yeast nose; quite nice malt, fruits, chewingum, caramel. Quite round body, a light fruitness, a very light metallic sensation, too much carbonation.

2008-03-07, draught at the brewpub, 5-3-6-3-11=28
Simpler than I remember, with some malt flavor, but no crispy character and no noble hop.

Gold color. Pretty nice hop aroma and malt. Good body strength, with a good malt (yet dry) and very well balanced later by the hopping (also aromatic). Good one.

Cloudy blond color. Nice hop aroma, citrusy, very much Belgian-like. Fresh and enjoyable, quite dry, equilibrated, with a delicate hopping.
