Shaker pint draft at Martin City Pizza and Taproom in Kansas City, Missouri. This was listed simply as "Belgian Blonde" on the menu board. The pour is a light haze yellow with a white head. The aroma is sweet fruit, Belgian yeast and floral spice. The taste is very much the nose with flavors of sweet fruit stripe gum, the floral spice, and especially the strong Belgian yeast character. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and sweet yeasty finish. Well made, not entirely my thing.

Shaker pint draft at Martin City Pizza and Taproom in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a dark brown almost black with ruby highlights and a smallish light tan head. The aroma is roast malt, strong pine hop character and dark chocolate. The taste is the roast malt up front, which tastes a bit like coffee, then transitions to the bright pine hop and closes with the semi-sweet dark chocolate in the finish. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and the pine slightly sweet finish. Clean and tasty Porter.

Shaker pint draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden yellow with a smallish off white head. The aroma is faint straw, malt grain and fresh pine resin hop. The taste is the pine hop along with tropical fruit and finishes with a bit of straw and grass. The palate is medium bodied, easy drinking, dry mineral earth finish. Nice IPA.

~12 ounce goblet draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed orange brown with a minimal off white head. The aroma is caramel malt and Belgian yeast along with a hint of banana and grass. The taste is a nice blend of the nose, soft sweet malt, grass, the yeast notes and a pleasant earthy finish. The palate has an unfiltered mouth feel and medium bodied soft carbonation. Solid beer, even better as it warmed.

Goblet glass draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed brown with not too much of a light tan head. The aroma is soft clove, dried fruit, floral and a touch of apple fruit in the back. I nice soft roast is evident as the beer warms. The taste is the sweet apple, dried fruit, the turning to the Belgian yeast and clove. The roast is present, though underneath the sweet and yeast notes. The palate is medium bodied with soft to low carbonation and a residual sweet clove finish. Solid, nice for a style I am not normally too wild about.

Shaker pint draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed brown copper with a small off white head. The aroma is cracker and crystal malt, along with a fresh grass element. The taste is a nice blend of the cracker, malt and the crystal dry grass hits the back. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry finish. Really solid bitter, nice to have a well made local version of a take on a style I enjoy.

~12 ounce goblet draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed black brown with a Β½ inch tan head. The aroma is roast along with floral notes, hint of sweet vanilla and a very soft licorice. The taste is the soft roast of the nose, along with wheat grain Saison notes and a pleasant lingering yeast finish. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the yeast dry finish. Nice take on a style (Black Saison) I am not normally that into.

Shaker pint draft at Martin City Pizza and Tap in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a very hazy gold yellow with a soapy white head. The aroma is pleasant spiced yeast, dry floral and lemon citrus. The taste is a well integrated representation of the lemon, floral and spiced yeast notes of the nose. The palate is a heavily unfiltered mouth feel, light to medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and yeast in the finish. Turns a bit watery in the after taste. Nicely done Wit, will work well with the Pizza.
