8 oz draft at the Mission Farms location of the Martin City Brewing Company Pizza and Tap in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is clear copper golden with a foamy white head that leaves nice lace. The aroma is mild peanut, grassy hop, orange citrus and malt grain. The taste is the clean grain malt, balanced with the grass floral citrus hop, finishes clean with dry bitterness and mineral. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and the dry bitter finish. Tasty IPA.

8 oz draft at the Mission Farms location of the Martin City Brewing Company Pizza and Tap in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is an opaque dark brown black with a ½ inch khaki head that leaves behind pretty lace on the glass. The aroma is a strong, clean peanut butter along with roast and char malt notes. The taste is peanut butter right away, not as sweet as the nose, blended nicely with the roast char malt and some pleasant pine bitterness to the dry finish. The palate is medium to light bodied soft natural carbonation and the roast and lingering peanut butter finish. Well executed.

12 oz can purchased at Harry’s Liquor in Leawood, Kansas. I believe 4 13 21 canned on date printed on the bottom of the can. The pour is a slight haze golden copper with a ½ inch off white foamy head. The aroma is cereal malt, a bit of melon, green apple sweet, grain and grass. The taste is the earthy grass up front, cereal grain, floral grass bitterness, the melon and finishing with warming alcohol. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, soft carbonation and the dry bitter warming boozy finish. Interesting to try an uncommon hop by itself.

Shaker pint draft at The Martin City Pub in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is an opaque black brown with a foamy tan head. The aroma is char roast, raspberry fruit and nice caramel malt. The taste is a clean raspberry raspberry, the smoke char roast and a hint of the malt sweetness. The flavors really work, often I find smoke beers are too charred, and fruit stouts are way too sweet - this beer did an amazing job of highlighting each flavor, and also using those flavors to offset and manage the other. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft natural carbonation and the smoke char roast dry mineral finish. Expertly made.

Shaker pint draft at The Martin City Pub in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is mostly clear golden with a ½ inch white head that is lasting. Eventually falls with pretty lace. The aroma7 is soft malt sweetness, floral, grass and bright Belgian yeast. The taste is a nice blend of the sweet malt, floral grass and finishes with lingering yeast. The palate is medium bodied, softer carbonation and a clean yeast to the back. The yeast profile makes this taste like a small triple to me, which works.

The aroma is clean Pils malt along with a floral hop and herbal Belgian yeast character. The taste is a clean blend of the fresh floral hop, the crisp Pil malt and finishes with the nice Belgian yeast character. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and crisp finish. Easy drinking beer with a lot of character, well done.
