Bottle from the brewery. Opaque dark, cola brown, ring of head, nice viscosity. Aroma is bourbon, dark malts with notes of hay, faint raisin. Taste is strong bourbon, dark malt, stronger dark fruit. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Toward the sweet side (particularly compared to the 2021 1792 just had) but solid.

500 ml shared by tfontana, thanks! 2024 vintage. The aroma is English toffee, raisin, prune notes. Bold sweet raisins, figs, juicy prune with a mild bourbon oak. Leans a bit on the sweet side. Yet, certainly tasty!!

Bottle (2021) from the brewery. Opaque dark brown, no head or sparkle, nice viscosity. Aroma is bourbon, caramel, hint of vanilla. Taste is strong bourbon, earthy (almost peat) malt, hint of oak. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and earthy finish. Good but not a standout DA variant.

500 ml shared by tfontana, thanks! 2021 vintage. Soft bourbon, mild star anise, oak. Flavor follows with the proper full body with a nice viscous mouthfeel. Very soft touch of alcohol in the finish.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is a nice wet dough malt. Flavor is more nice and chewy bread malt with a spicy hop finish. Pretty spot on for the style.

Taster showing turbid straw with a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of adzuki and light notes of sweet Belgian yeast.
The palate is moderately carbonated and light to medium bodied. Lightly Belgian yeast forward and mildly sweet. Insufficient carbonation, mouthfeel is too heavy for the style, flavors are alright but nothing special.

Bottle from the brewery. Opaque black, nice viscosity, no head. Aroma is strong earthy malt, toffee, mild oak and fruit, over bourbon (more expressive as it warms). Taste is as aroma. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. I wish the bourbon was a bit more present but this has held up well for four years old. Drinks super mellow. Very enjoyable.

500 ml bottle, thank you tfontana. 2021 vintage. Aroma shows mild chocolate and easy Blanton bourbon throughout. Carbonation is low. (Almost flat) that doesn’t hurt the mouthfeel at all. Thick and viscous.
