Tap at Lupine. Dark brown.low carbonation, that is ok in a brown ale. Aroma has roasted grain,some caramel. Finish is very dry. Solid brown.

On tap at Iron Tap. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy dark grain with a slight roast and a bit of tart cranberry. Flavor has creamy dark grains with a bit of sweetness and a touch of cranberry.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue and a near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma is full of straw and hay with a bit of grass and some maple. Flavor has notes of grain, bread and straw with a bit of growing grass towards the finish.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear deep amber with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is full of bread supported by grain and a touch of sweetness. Flavor has a good amount of bread and grain without much else.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma is very musty with bread and earthy grain as well as a bit of dirt. Flavor is musty forward with earthy grains and earthy bread, not much here.

On tap at Cuzzys. Pours a clear brown with a slight amber hue and brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a bit of coffee with bread and a bit of sweet dark grains. Flavor has a bit of chocolate with dark grains and bread as well as just a hint of toffee.

Sampled from the tap at Winterfest 2015. Pours a clear golden amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. ARoma has some grassy hops, sweet grains and a good amount of butterscotch. Flavor has notes of grass, grains and butterscotch.
