Draft at Dangerous Man during RBSG. From notes. Malty and roasty. Not my favorite that I got to try from here.

Draft at the source. From notes. A little citrus and a lot of belgian yeast. Not my favorite, but very good.

At Dangerous Man. A solid Alt, and I was recently in Dusseldorf where I tried quite a few. Brown color of course. Roasted malt and grain. Smooth palate and very drinkable, which these beers are intended to be, and it is great to have it in a glass larger than .2 liters.

Draught at the brewpub. Brown with some head. Great palate, like most Dangerous Man beers. Sticky and lightly roasted grains, dry, and well hidden alcohol. It has that northern France/Belgian yeast quality common to beers of this style. Good.

~12 oz tulip draft pour at Dangerous Man in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is mostly clear orange golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is fresh citrus hops, along with toasted malt cereal grain. The taste is a perfect balance and blend between the fresh citrus lightly resinous hops, and the toasted grain and lightly caramel sweet grain. The palate is medium to light bodied, soft natural carbonation and a dry faintly mineral finish. Simple, but crazy fresh and delicious. This was my beer of the night during a brewery tap room crawl.

On tap. I wasn’t that into this one. Heavily roasted, nearly burnt grains in the flavor and aroma, giving a charred flavor. I like most of the beers I have tried here, but this one did not work for me.

On tap at the brewery. Dark copper color and moderately carbonated, with a quickly fading white head. Hop and malt aroma, with some pine, and the alcohol is perceivable as well. Fairly heavy palate with some sugar but the hops dominate the flavor. Sort of an imperial American pale ale.

At Dangerous Man, through the Randall. The hop character was not as fresh as I expected out of the Randall. Perceivable alcohol. Hop aroma and a good bitter flavor with more hops. Oily on the palate. The hop quality is not as powerful as the standard IPA, and I did not like this as much as that beer. Opaque orange color.
