Draft: Poured a hazy yellow to orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma was very fruity blueberry. Taste was nice fresh blueberry with grain and light wheat bitterness. Worked well and wasn’t syrupy.

Sampled from the tap at FOBAB 2012. Pours a clear amber brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of caramel and toffee with a decent amount of oak. Flavor starts sweet with caramel but mellows to more of a toffee and bread finish with a hint of oak.

Seems to be different from the regular eisbock, which is 10% abv and not barrel aged. Draft at the source. Hazy dark brown color, small white edge head. Aroma of vanilla and whiskey. Taste is chocolate covered caramel bonbons. Best tasting beer of the night.
SHIG (13882) reviewed Oatmeal Stout (Jim Beam) from Glacier Brewhouse 13 years ago
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8
Draft: Poured a oily black with maroon red edges, the head was beige. Aroma was sweet bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is very Jim Beam bourbon up front which personally I am not big on, but has nice chocolate sweetness that keeps it balanced along with vanilla.

Draft at the source. Very dark and clear marron brown color, thick tan head with good retention. Aroma of coffee grounds and cocoa powder. Taste is similar. Body seemed thin, but that could be because I drak the big barleywines and eisbocks first.
Travlr (30173) reviewed Imperial Stout (Oak Aged) from Glacier Brewhouse 14 years ago
Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Draft at the source, as 2008 Beam Imperial Stout, 9.0% abv. Could be a different entry, I suppose. Black color, brown head with good retention. Aroma of burnt espresso, vanilla, subtle whiskey. Taste is boozy coffee and chocolate, light spice. Nice.
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8
Draft at the source. This might be an alias of the Makers Mark version, if the only difference is the barrel. I put it as a separate entry because it’s marketed as a different beer, and the flavor, aroma and even the appearance is very different, although the abv is the same. Anyway, it’s dark and hazy brown, medium beige head. Aroma is butterscotch, coffee, vanilla, coconut. Taste is rich and chocolatey, with caramel and coffee. Very nice.
Travlr (30173) reviewed Big Woody Barleywine from Glacier Brewhouse 14 years ago
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6
This is marketed as a different beer than the regular Big Woody, and the alcohol percentage is different, so I think it warrants a new entry. Light and clear brown color, scant white head. Aroma of vanilla. Taste is smooth vanilla and caramel. Nice.
