Good malt here, certainly like an old country ipa. Amber pour. Light crisp finish with tangy note. Easy drinking. Bottle.

Sampled on draft at Social this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty, biter and had notes of floral hops, coffee and vanilla. The flavor was bitter, toasty, very malty and had strong notes of coffee and vanilla. Very long coffee and vanilla finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Bottle shared by someone Friday night, thanks for the opportunity! Deep brown color, tan head. Rich caramel and hints of brown sugar along with a solid shot of smoked pork shoulder. A bit smokey for my tastes.

3$ bot from vintage. Big thick viscous looking pour and head. Smell is sweet volatile hop candy perfume. Big big giant double ipa impact on my taste bud troopers. Bring out the heavy machinery. Gnarly nasty thick rich bitter happy BS! Whewww. In wrong class, must be a dubbel er triple ipa. Mow my tongue over hith a steam roller, whew. Wolf fer sure, crying wolf like there’s no tomorrow. Good ol avery, always going over the top in a style. What else can be said? Yes, so intriguingly difficult. Last swig is thick exceptionally rude mouthcoating bitter nulling hop medicine. Whew. This won’t be an experience I’ll ferget soon.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Joes. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, huge coffee and sweetish coffee roast. Wow, intense! Taste malts, firm to huge coffee again, roasted malts, bitter. Really nice. Medium body and carbonation. Nice one!

$3 bottle from vintage. Looks slight haze on a palish beer. Smell like dull hops. Experience is big dull hop ipa happy mouth coating viscous bitter bigot. Bitchy bastard thick soapy nasty terribly on style ipa. Seems to be far from brightly & fresh. Whew. Terribly on style to the extreme, border on double. Ruined my taste buds fer a while. Yea, imperial level taste with ipa level alky. However, make no mistake, this is not a session by any standard fer sure. It’s juts a big in yer face offensive IPA. Boorishly rude; if you like an ipa with chewing green grapefruit rind bitter rubbery hops, you got it, what else can be said? Yes, quite an impact. Did I say wew or was it whew?

On tap at bocktown. Clear pale yellah. Almost lemon in looks. Slight yeasty aroma. Medicinal, needs manners compared to many old country samples of beldgies. A typical domestic wannah bee. Little co2 overall.

Bottle. Cloudy golden pour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is a bit sulfury, grassy, some lactic notes, definitely some funk, mild fruit, sun tan lotion, rubber. Flavors are nice. Dry, spicy, phenols, dried fruit (pear and apricot), some spice, mild toast, light tongue numbing sensation. Lightly tart, medium funk, violent carbonation across the tongue. Mild but noticeable hop bitterness and floral note keeps things in check (very nice bitterness level for the style). Rustic. Nice.
