Out of a 19.2 can. Pours hazy straw yellow with white head and minimal patterns. Faint stone fruit and moderate citrus in both the aroma and flavor. Moderate bitterness. Everything is a bit subdued.

Very deep copper coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall rich light brown head that fades very fast, all atop the dark brown glow - very dark for the style. Aroma of deep berries with some light malt notes and only a touch of hops - some grassiness, but this is fairly mild in the nose and more fruity than hoppy. Medium-bodied; Deep nutty and slightly grainy flavours from the malt come out at first with a bit of grassy dryness and some caramelised sugar notes, but the berries, specifically the easy-to-detect blackberries are the strongest. Aftertaste shows the berry notes, a good deal of maltiness, some strong earthy and rustic qualities and a light sweetness, but no real hoppiness, alpha acids or pungency - odd. Overall, a decent beer that has some deep malts and a good deal of blackberries, but no hops nor bitternesss. This is more of a fruit beer than an IPA and the alcohol is hidden pretty well, too. Nice to sample from California, by way of Florida, all the way up here in Washington. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Corner Store (Bait & Tackle) in West Palm Beach, Florida on 14-February-2021 for US$5,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-March-2021.

Bomber from Long's. Clear amber with one finger head, which fades to flat. Aroma is maple with a hint of cinnamon. Taste is very sweet, maple then followed by some savory cinnamon. That's prety much it, not much of the brown ale comes through. A bit sticky and cloying.

Draft at the Happy Viking. Obviously not the same experience as the other raters. Amber body, small silky head, streaky lacing. Aroma is weak, malty, light caramel. Taste also is malty, searching for the grapefruit. A bit sweet and not that bitter. A bit of a letdown.

19.2 oz can from Raley's. WTF is up with this size? Neither US or metric. pale ahzy golde, ring of white fine head. Aroma offers some light citric notes, pretty faint. taste unfortunately doesn.'t pick it up too much. This could easily almost pass as a witbier. Light malty notes with some gentle citrus. A bit of a letdown

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Rich toffee aroma. Approaching full body. Flavor is toffee/malty with some aspects making me think of chocolate and coffee. Think, not taste. Not complex, but flavors are not common - for me anyway. Maybe it’s spice.Very tasty ale.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dirty gold with a foamy white head. Fruit juicy aroma. Pale stones and tropicals. Med body at least. Flavor is very juicy; juicily undry; very bitter (tho not harsh). For fruit I pick melon, citrus and passion fruit. Prickly stuff - tongue wise. Lush. Tasty. Get it, if you can.
