Pour is a hazy straw with a large white head. Aroma is a nice grain and biscuit mat with plenty of grassy Euro hops. Flavor is a equally nice clean pils malt with a perfectly aged lager sulfer. Very clean and refreshing. Probably the most spot on czech pils that you can get fresh without goig to the Czech rep.

Pour is a hazy amber with a large white head. Aroma is a decent pine hop with some caramel malt. Flavor is more of a dry malt with a decent pine and fruity hop. The caramel malt in there but not in a chewy kind of way, it’s just there to give this some body and the beer is quite thick by today’s APA standards. They were going for the old school pale ale’s from craft beers infancy with this one. It would have been ground breaking back in 1994 and it’s still good today.

Pour is a murky brown with a large tan head. Aroma is caramel malt some dark fruit and some cloves. Flavor is kind of a dull caramel malt with some chocolate notes but I did get and odd soapiness in the aftertaste. Not much rye comes off the beer. Not one of Civil life’s best beers but this was still decent.

Imperial Pint at the Brewery in St Louis, Missouri. The pour is a hazed brown golden copper with a small off white head. Pretty lace coats the glass as the beer drinks down. The aroma is toasty caramel, nut malt and soft floral. The taste is the fresh clean nut and malt sweetness of the nose, along with a pleasant bit of caramel upfront and finishes dry with clean floral. Very clear expressions of the flavors and nice integration. The palate is light bodied with soft natural carbonation and the clean finish. Super drinkable, this was really good.

Keg st BB’s - St. Louis. Pours mostly clear brown with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds lightly toasty brown bread, chocolate malts, faint roast. Medium sweet flavor with nice brown bread character, impressions of cocoa, mellow earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Great balance on the finish, with further toasty cocoa, some earthy bitterness, dried berries, faint burnt toffee. Overall, a very tasty and accessible brown ale.

Pour is a complete black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with some coffee and chccolate notes. Flavor is the same, with a nice roasted mouthfeel with some coffee and chccolate with a miniscule hop on the back end. I would not consider this a black IPA but this is a pretty solid beer with some great roasted notes.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nutty and chocolaty. Flavor is the same as the aroma but this has a richness that I did not get from the aroma. Nutty and more of a bakers chocolate lay on the tongue as this goes down. This is a decent brown ale.

Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Aroma is a decent Belgian yeast esters with a toffee malt. Flavor is a nice dark fruit with a nice earthy malt mixed with a pleasant by treacle and anise. Maybe not as rich and ester laiden as some dubble’s but plenty flavorful nonetheless.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma has a huge stone fruit with a dry bready malt and a bit of spice I can’t quite put my finger on. Flavor is a nice fruity start then comes equally nice almost biscuit like dry malt that cleanses the palate for the next sip. I was a bit skeptical about the Civil Life getting into Belgian beers but the Civil Life rarely lets me down. This is a very flavorful beer.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice rich roasted nutty creamy malt. Flavor in a big chewy and chccolate malt with a very minor bitterness toward the end of the swallow. A decadently rich and flavorful malt puts this one over the top. If more brown ales were made like this I would drink more brown ales.
