Sample at Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a floral hops aftertaste.

Draft at Bier Station in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is clear copper with a one inch slightly dirty white head. The aroma is mild caramel malt sweetness and a general toasted cracker malt. The taste is nicely fresh and clean malt, the sweetness and the dry cracker. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, and a soft mineral dry finish. Really well made.

Shaker pint draft at the Martin City Brewing Company in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed darker orange with a 1/2 inch slightly off-white head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is big fresh leafy hops - floral, citrus, resin along with caramel malt. The taste is the hops up front, fresh and bright. As with the nose, a nice blend of floral citrus resin, balanced nicely with the body of the caramel malt. The palate is light to medium bodied, lower level carbonation and a dry floral finish. Clean easy drinking beer.

Tap @ The Civil Life. Pours a hazy deep reddish/maroon appearance with a light brown head. Quite nutty, toasty malty, caramel, light toffee, nice aroma. Burnt caramel malty, burnt sugar, toffee, light char, earthy, fairly well balanced beer.

Toasty malty, light banana, quite nutty,slightly burnt, dry flavor. I can drink it but it’s completely off style and nothing like what you can get in Germany.
