Sampled from the can at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear orange with a gold hue and a yellowish brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of musty citrus, earthy grain and a bit of pine. Flavor is similar with a bitter citrus, resin and grass backed by some earthy grains.

16 oz. can thanks to Skyview for the opportunity. Dark born with some crimson around the edges. Lasting head retention. Aroma is light chocolate, roasted nuts and hints of a fruity hop.

Flavor is much the same as the aroma with a light lager yeast in the main body. Roasted nuts, hints of chocolate and toasted grain. Hints of cola and caramel. Body is perfect for the style, solid medium and easy to drink a large amount of. Finish has a mild lingering roasted grain note. I killed the 16 oz. very easily. Damn nice lager!

16 oz. can thanks to Skyview. Caramel color brew/ leaning on brown color served in a lager glass. Huge white bubbles that laced most of the way down until it completely dies about 3/4 the way down. Nose is caramel, toasted grain and hints of coffee grounds. Flavor is pretty much spot on the aroma. Mouthfeel is appropriate for a dark lager. Texture is lightly sticky with a active effervescent carbonation. Really enjoyable.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Orange-brown, respectable beige head. Mild soapy aroma. Decent, met my low expectations. Soapy bitter, one dimensional hop presence. Not bad, maybe a little homebrewy, but no off flavors. Some thick crystal malt tones. A decently constructed beer, the hops are just too 1-D, a condition that plagues cost-cutting WI breweries.

Draft at OF. This is the kind of punishment you get for being a ticker. This beer sucks. Buttery, sugary malt tones. Medium bodied, totally unexceptional, bland crap. This is a 1.5 beer, anything more than that is generous. You cannot defend this beer. Harsh fruity ale notes. Really horribly brewed. Orange-amber crapaliciousness. Embarrassing.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Off flavors galore. Butter, diacetyl, this one kinda sucks. Wow. Evidence that six row malt really sucks. Sugary and sweet, with a rusty graininess. Never again, thanks.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered looking amber-yellow, quite light. Oily, white head. Woody, oaky, amber malt aroma. You can throw some oak in your six row sugar bomb, and it still doesn’t help much apparently. Sub par all the way. Buttery, unacceptably so. What a let down. No good.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Chill haze, golden yellow color. Thin non head. Gross adjunct-ridden cheap aroma. A Kolsch...no way. This is pretty bad, BMC with a touch of amateurish wannabe decent aspiration. Sweet and sugary. Not at all true to style, not the most horrendous beer I’ve ever had, but still way sub par.
