Labeled "Traditional Jeffersonian" but is a re-brand of this same cider: Sweet apple nose, mild funky phenolics underneath. Crystal clear pale yellow, a few streams of carbonation. Sweet apple, pear, mild dry phenolic finish. Light body, easy carbonation. Nice transitions and nuance.

Bottle from Growlers to Go, West Richmond. Pours golden, lots of carbonation. Aroma is crisp apple, somewhat sweet. Flavor is juicy sweet apple, light spice, light citrus hops. Tangy. Not bad. Perhaps a hint too sweet.

Bottle from Corks & Kegs, West Richmond. Pours clear pale golden with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of apple, garbage water, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and chocolate. Flavor is heavily cloved apple cider, hints of chocolate and vanilla as well. Quite sweet on the back end with lingering sweet vanilla.

Many thanks to nimbleprop, my "Secret" Santa 2016 for this bottle. Interesting fruity-neutral nose. The cider starts fruity but not too deep. I think due to the fact that table-apples like Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, or Fuji are not really suitable for good ciders. Pale and quite neutral aftertaste - especially for the high abv. The fruitiness is there, a bit boozy with a quite neutral fruity but boring and flat aftertaste. Interesting to try, but a bit one-dimensional...

Bottle from Growlers to Go, Richmond. Pours medium brown with a small quickly disappearing head. Aroma is more of a spiced tea than anything else: cinnamon, maple, apple. Gotta say I like it. Flavor is also spiced-tea like. Apple, for sure, but lots of maple syrup - probably the fake shit, cinnamon, molasses, and sugar. For not being a sweets person, this is liquid pancake, and liquid deliciousness.

12oz bottle from the brewery pours a clear, dark gold, no head. Nose has apples, blueberry, some bubblegum, a little brandy. Flavor has some apple, a real sweet apple, the berry is more dehydrated blueberry and candy. Finishes sweet, but pretty well done overall.

Keg at Violet Crown, 12/21/16. Clear dark amber, thin fizzy head. Aroma of overly sweet and intense pancake syrup with bits of cinnamon and sweet apple. The taste is cinnamon, spice, apples, maple. Medium bodied. Meh.
