Bottle, 2.6%. Weak citric soap aroma. Very pale yelllow colour. OK white head. The flavour is quite mild, not much beer or lemonade. Not too sweet either, which is good, but unfortunately with aspartam aftertaste. Does not seem to contai aspartam, so it must be the hops giving that unpleasant bitterness.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival (5.5%) Cloudy amber with rich firm head. Citric banana aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium body and spritzy mouthfeel. Some sticky syrup to go with banana, and to remove some of the drinkability. A pretty good darkish weizen. Could the absence of roasty flavours be explained by the inclusion of the ingredient "farbebier"?

50cl bottle @ Aral station, Germany. Pours pale & clear piss yellow with a off white foam. Aroma & taste is sweet of corn & yeast. Plastic, thin & extremely nasty corn flavor. Yikes!

50 cL bottle, thanks to MiP and Anna. Pours hazy brown to black with a slowly collapsing tan head. Aroma is mild mouldy and roasted malt. Flavour holds a solid hoppy bitterness. Bitter and slight roasted finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a small rough off-white head. Chemical citrusy nose. Light in body with somewhat oxidized overripe fruit accents. Some sweet citrus. No hops, no bitterness. Not the freshest Radler one could imagine. 160408

Bügelverschlußflasche: Unclear, quickly collapsing off-white head; shy bananas, lemons and some cloves in the nose; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, light bodied; tart and fruity, but all in all mild finish with a detectable acidity. Not absolutely convincing.........

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, murky orange colour with a fluffy and quite stable light-beige foamy head. Slightly yeasty-fruity and sweet malty nose with traces of caramel and burnt sugar. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Yeasty malty, slightly fruity (citrus, apricot) taste with shy notes of burnt caramel; medium-dry, moderately sweet and yeasty-fruity finish with a balancing level of hoppy bitterness and a touch of caramel in the aftertaste. Likeable Zwickel but rather disappointing for a Steinbier (19.05.08).

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. But the foam disappears really fast. Starts spicy, the finish is much too sourish. Not a good christmasbeer!

Swing top bottle) Hazy, orange colour with a fluffy, slowly lacing, slightly off-white head. Yeasty, slightly sweet and sour fruity (citrus) nose with shy herbal hops in the background. Initially light-sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, yeasty and moderately fruity taste; light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation; yeasty, malty and slightly herbal hoppy finish. Pretty average brew, more like a Zwickel than a Kellerbier (30.04.08).
