Cloudy deep blond color; medium sized head. The malt aroma is mild. Some malt flavor, rather vulgar; the carbonation is very high and it spoils the experience; the bitterness is quite high, while the sweetness is low. Basic beer, not much Maibock.

Draught at the brauhaus in Rastatt
Muddy blond color; compact, eggwhite style, head. It has a mild aroma of yeast and cloves, manure. Served too cold; wheat and spices flavor, with a light earthy touch, and straws; the mouthfeel is dry (low residual sweetness) and smooth (high carbonation); the bitterness is too high for this beer, and there is no trace of fruity esters. Aggressive but out of target.

Hazy deep blond color; compact head. The mild aroma, cereals and malt, is also a bit creamy and buttery. The mouthfeel is quite dry and lean, with light wheat flavor, a bit of spicy character, and reasonably strong bitterness; light butter traces too. Even if flawed (diacetyl), it’s a refreshing and pleasant variation.

Black color; compact head. Very nice aroma, roasted malt, hop, malt. Lean body, dry mouthfeel, good blend of roasted malt flavor and dark chocolate, with some residual sweetness. Missing some hop quality in the end, or more depth/body. Very balanced. Extremely pleasant.

2010-09-21, draught at the Hopfenschlingel Pforzheim
Cloudy orange-golden color; there is also a very light sour note. Strong banana aroma, and, like the Pils, quite sweet malt too. Good body, with a sweet banana and malt flavor, good body strength; late cloves and other spices, and medium-low bitterness; a bit soapy in the beginning. Very pleasant.

2011-05-11, draught at the brauhaus in Rastatt, 7-4-6-3-14=34
Cloudy blond color, with an almost green/straw hue; medium sized compact head. The aroma is quite nice, with cereals, some crispy malt and mild aromatic hops. The mouthfeel is average; some malt flavor, not exciting, and with a trace of chamomile; in the front there is a light residual sweetness; in the final the high bitterness is creating a drier feeling. Good but a bit rough.

Cloudy deep blond color. The aroma is mild, malty, sweetish, with delicate hopping, grassy, at times even a bit earthy. It has a correct body strength, the malt flavor has some residual sweetness; therefore, it lacks the dryness of most Pils of the region, still the malt has some crispy traits; the bitterness is correct, and with delicate aromatic hop components, green and grassy, leading to a good and complete final. Very pleasant.
When I had a smaller glass at the Pforzheim location, it was sweeter and less hoppy, maybe less fresh.
