Established in 2014, Gnarly Barley Brewing is located in a 10,500 square foot facility in Hammond, Louisiana and consists of a two-vessel 30bbl Brewhouse, one hot and one cold liquor tank, five fermentation vessels, one bright beer tank and a whole lot of passion for craft beer.

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a clear gold with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat and grain. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light finish, decent.

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a hazy copper with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine and rye. Medium mouth, pine, grass, rye, lingering bitterness, very good.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roasted malt and chocolate. Medium mouth, rich roast, dark chocolate, light dry finish, very good.

Avenue Pub, New Orleans: pours dark brown with with an off-white head. Aroma is lactose and chocolate. Taste is pretty light with some sweetness popping in. Light body. Easy drinking fo sho.

Dat Dog in new orleans: pours orange with small white head. Aroma is slight caramel but mostly malt. Taste is not that interesting. Basically it is a malty lager. So it goes.
