Corn, honey, clay nose. Hazy orange, thick yellow head. Hay, honey, grass and clay finish. Light body, easy carbonation. I have to agree this isn't a true alt. In fact, it drinks a bit like a cream ale, but amber seems like the best category.

Draft at Tin Cannon’s second anniversary party. Poured a very dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was very light sweet malts. Roasted character is just a little too weak. Light maple. Sweet roasted notes, light malts.

Draft at the Tin Cannon second anniversary party. Poured a very dark brown color, not totally pitch black color though. Aroma was light maple sweetness on the nose and hazelnut liquor notes. A touch too sweet. Raspberry and some cherry are hidden behind the beer’s sweetness. Needs more roast to balance sweetness. Maybe a blend with some non-barrel aged beer if that was possible.
