Sample at Black Sheep. Hazy light golden with big white head. Aroma is banana and bubblegum, medium body, medium carbonation, and fair medium bubble lacing. Taste is light banana, some bubblegum, and hints of clove. Little light on taste and in particular clove for me, but sessionable.

Reviewed from notes just found after an excursion driving through West Viriginia last summer.
At the brewpub, this was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice light golden yellow color with a thin white foamy little head (bar pour). There wasn’t any lacing.
The smell was your basic cream ale styled brew - light corn/rice adjuncts but nothing off-putting - basic cream ale sweetness.
The taste was sweet and ended up leading to a sweet corn aftertaste and a watery finish (but its a cream ale, so no worries).
On the palate, it sat exceptionally light and showed a great deal of sessionability to it with a smooth carbonation running about my mouth and tongue.
Overall, not a bad cream ale, but its a style that isn’t exactly easy to make complex and show a great deal of character. Worth trying again - perhaps. If you’re at the brewpub, I say why not.

Great breakfast aroma. Oats, light honey. Black pour with good head and lacing. Finishes sweeter than many oatmeal stouts. Average carbonation. Growler thanks to Travlr. Some coffee.

Really great hoppy smell. I got a big grapefruit aroma from a foot away while pouring this. Pours blonde like lager, finishes with light sourness, nice bitterness. Good mix. Soft carbonation. Growler thanks to Travlr.

Sample at Black Sheep. Pours slightly hazy golden with very little head. Aroma is herbal hops, little carbonation, medium body, and no lacing. Taste is pine hops with nice malty backbone and dryer finish. I found this quite enjoyable, good session IPA.

Sample at Black Sheep. Pours crimson red with orange highlights and little head. Aroma is scotch malt, medium body, low carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is scotch malt and bread. Balancing hops might help improve this one, but still not one of my favorite styles.

On tap at Black Sheep poured into a glass. Pours opaque black with big light brown head. Aroma is wonderful roast, medium body, medium carbonation, creamy texture, and thick big bubble lacing. Taste is roasted malt, roasty, some oats, some herbal hops, and chocolate. My favorite WV oatmeal stout and I would like to have this side by side with Sam Smiths oatmeal stout to really know which I prefer.

On tap at Black Sheep. Pours cloudy deep golden with medium off-white head. Light grain aroma, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is malt grain, some tropical fruit, and slightly dry finish. Doesn’t do it for me.

On tap at Black Sheep. Pours hazy golden with small off-white head. Aroma is light tropical fruit, medium body, low carbonation, and some nice medium bubble lacing. Taste is grapefruit, pungent pine resin, and slightly bitter pine finish. Side by side with their Citra, this one has more flavor than their citra, but I prefer their Citra Obsession.
