Appearance: near to black, opaque, one finger tall tan head of decent retention. Good lacing. Aroma: esters, prunes, barrel tannins, bourbon, chocolate, dark malts, vinous notes. Taste: light to medium sweet, medium bitter. Rich malts, roasted, chocolate, bourbon barrel, prunes and dates, coffee, citrusy hop. Lingering hoppy ending. Palate: medium to full body, smooth mouth feel, soft to average carbonation. Overall: a high level old school BA imperial stout. Maybe a little bit too much barrel on nose. Perfect on tongue in return. Very pleasing.
