At CBC Denver, April 10 2014.Clear golden color, off-white head. Sweet, caramel, fresh, hoppy, some butterscotch scent. Fizzy mouthfeel, high bitterness. Hoppy, bitter taste. Bitter aftertaste.

Bottle from Ayotte’s Pours a brilliantly clear medium golden color with a huge bubbly white head that last forever and sticks lots of lace on the way down. Earthy citrus and mineral water backed up by a bit of bready caramel. The flavor is quite malty with a solid toffee melanoid thing going on. Earthy citrus hop flavor counters but never shows enough to call this beer an IPA. Light to moderate lingering hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. This is an odd little beer. Reminds me more of a mild or an English bitter than an IPA. Easy to drink and no real flaws, I guess its OK, but doesn’t wow me.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a huge foamy orange-beige head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty caramel and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter grapefruit, malty biscuit, caramel, lemon and a touch of floral hops. Medium length finish of biscuit, caramel and grapefruit. Medium body. Nothing special but pleasant drinking.

on tap-lasting white-yellow/gold. A-pine/spice/grassy, some lt malt. T-follows. Crisp.
