Draft at the brewpub. Had the appearance of muddy chocolate milk with chunkies, no head or lacing, lots of particles that stick to the glass. A truly ugly beer. Aroma of milk chocolate and booze. Taste is gritty and strongly spiked chocolate milk. Something has gone wrong with this batch, and I don’t think it should have been served.

I am pretty sure this was an infected bottle. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured cloudy yellow-golden color with a huge creamy-soapy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was egg white, sulfur, vinegar, a bit of clove and bubblegum. The flavor was tart and sour vinegar, Sweettart candies, a hing of bread dough and bubblegum. Long tart, sour and vinegary finish. Medium body. Not good.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky brown color with a medium size creamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was very assertive dry spices - clove, cinnamon and cardamom. The flavor was intensely spicy and overwhelms with just a hint of bread underneath. Very long spicy finish. Medium body. Spices overwhelm and start to distract quickly. Ok.

From a 22 oz bottle at home. Pours black with a thin tan head. Pina colada in the nose. Flavors of coconut, roasted malts, and chocolate. Bitter finish. A decent imperial stout.

Opaque dark brown beer. Not much of a head. Silky palate, quite light for it’s abv. Mild carbonation. Smooth dark malt. Big splash of bourbon. Whisper of vanilla. Mild minerals. Very mild chocolate and bitter coffee. Some lactose sweetness. Overall a pretty smooth RIS beast.
