Draught at Rock Bottom - Denver, on April 11, 2014.I’ll put it here, as "American Red Ale" at 5.7% ABV and 38 IBU.Clear copper light oxidized to amber color, white head. Sweet, malty, hoppy, dry, bitter, some alcohol taste. Dry, mineral, bitter aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Malty, a bit hoppy, chalk, light toasty scent.

Almost there! Faint, barely there aroma, but nice crisp clean taste. Clear golden with small but tight creamy head. Short, dry finish, leaning towars the watery side.

Kind of the bland side, mild hops tingle on the palate. Cloudy dark golden with spare head. Meh.

On tap at the Downtown Denver location. Labeled simply as "Red Ale". Pours with a clear orange body with a small tan head. Aromas are malty and bready with caramel and light esters. Flavors are bready, malty, toasty, caramel, and a bit of a fruity estery note. Tastes a touch stale. Lighter bodied, thin and a bit uninspiring.

Had this as the house red at the downtown Denver location. Amber-red colour. Nice earthy hops - was dry-hopped with Galaxy (I don’t know this hop) and I don’t really get anything unusual. But a nice beer, with good balance of amber/red malt character and earthy hops.

Tap @ south location. Deep brown appearance with a creamy, brown head. Mocha, chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, toasty, brown malty nose. Fairly light bodied, creamy mouth feel. Chocolate is the dominate flavor with vanilla, nuts, and espresso also noted. Creamy, nutty, chocolate finish. Nice dessert beer but stick to a half pint as it’s pretty rich.
