Location: Draft at Trap Rock, 11/30/14, Rating #4141
Aroma: The nose is spice and wheat mostly, some citrus, and a little yeast
Appearance: Pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a small white head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is along the same lines, yeast/spice, wheat, and some fruity notes
Palate: The body is light-medium, with average-plus carbonation, and a light stickiness
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty decent combo-style offering. They did a nice job of getting a good, solid, flavorful beer out of the combination here.

Aroma: Sweet and malty nose, boozy, caramel, toffee, dark malts, chocolate, and brown sugar
Appearance: Pours a murky brownish color with a small head and decent lace
Flavor: The flavor is along the same lines, malty and sweet, fairly complex, good flavor
Palate: The mouthfeel is fairly full, sticky, with a decent amount of heat and a sticky finish
Overall Impression: This is a solid, sweet and malty Belgian style brew. It is not quite on the level of the best examples of the style, but this is a very solid approximation.

Aroma: The nose is a good mix of pepper and fruity sweetness, with light yeast and hop notes
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color with a beige head and some light lacework
Flavor: The taste is along the same lines, with a balance of pepper and fruity sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, average carb., and finishes with a light peppery burn on the throat
Overall Impression: I found this pretty tasty overall. The sweetness and pepper balance nicely. The other components provide some good peripheral flavor as well to keep it multidimensional. It may lack a touch in overall drinkability, but I quite enjoyed this beer.

Reviewed from notes.
This was on tap and served in a pint glass.
The appearance had a hazy light colored brown.
The smell had some bready/caramel malts in a roasty sort of way.
The taste was somewhat sweet and had a long sweet aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionable aspect about it.
Overall, this was a good Munich Helles Lager worthy of having again.
