Smells hoppy and fruity. Tastes like a standard IPA, I can’t detect the jenever and the herbs they mention on the bottle. Nice brew, but it needs some tweaking.

Bottle as road soda. Brown pour with a small bobbly Head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, coffee, light lactose but overwhelmed by grassy hops, throwing the whole milk stout thing into more black ipa territory. Flavour is moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Purchased this at De Molen Beer shop, Bodegraven, consumed at De Vlaschard campsite, Middelburg, Netherlands, Tuesday 1at October 2013 Pours pale yellow very lively with busy large white head. This is jolly nice, fresh, yeasty, a little citrussy and with some pithiness. I like this its far better than I expected. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

On tap at Beer Temple. Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, dusty pale malts, hint of juniper. Flavour is dry, light malty, crackers, hint of citrus, berries, decent dry and bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice.

Tap @ Wormer, medium sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of lots of roasted malts, some coffee, hint of earthy hops. Quite dry in taste, some bitterness from roast and hops, slight lactose. Could have used a bit more lactose for me to make it a bit sweeter. But also, the beer was quite young, so the roastiness could balance out a bit more. Still decent beer.

Om tap @ Beer Temple (thanks to Nando), on a warm day. Cloudy blonde color. Big white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: citrus, a bit herbal/spicy, lots of citrus retronasal as well as hopbitterness and herbs. Flavor is moderate to full bitter. Light bodied, but not too thin. Finishes full on bitter, not harsh. Nice flavorful thirst quencher.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Not sure that this should be rateable, cause this is likely a homebrew. Very dark brown color. Big, dense beige head with some retention. Aroma’s: sweet malts, a little roasted, a bit butterscotch. Retronasal the hops start to come out. Flavor is moderate sweet with upcoming bitterness, somewhat roasted. Medium bodied. Carbonation is (at least in the beginning) a bit too high, later still quite prickly. Finishes with some roast and then bitter. A few minor adjustments and it’s ready for a full batch.

Rich black IPA from this new Dutch brewery. Starts of as an usual black IPA, with a malty finish with hints of rogge. Nice.
