Bottle @ home shared with my good friend Mark. Hazy dark orange color, full sized white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is grassy, fresh, lightly malty and some hops. Taste lightly malts, lightly hops, lightly bitter. Nice firm bitter aftertaste. Nice balance, medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange colour with a small to medium white head. Smells hoppy, fruity, fresh, grapefruit, peach. Tastes quite watery, iron, not as fruity and hoppy as i expected after smelling the beer.. Thin body, too much carbo for me. After a few sips (and with the beer warming up a bit) the nice smell is also fading away and it kinda transforms into a bit of a musty (rotting leafs) smell.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Slightly hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of rubber, plastic, light citrus hops, metal. Flavour is metallic, light rubbery, blood, grainy and light hoppy bitter finish. Light-bodied. I hope for the brewers this was off.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Light amber color. Off white head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: earthy hops, a bit weird retronasal, plastic (?) and earthy bitter. Flavor is moderately bitter and grainish. Light bodied. Finishes earth bitter. Not really my favorite of these promising newcomers.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Black color. Dense beige head, only slowly receding. Aroma’s of heavy roasted malts, roasted coffee, drop/licorice, sweetness/sweet fruit/berries, some milk chocolate. Retronasal the aroma’s are bit faded, mainly sweet, somewhat alcoholic. Flavor is medium sweet, roasted, mocca. Medium bodied. Alcoholfeel is moderate, but noticeable. Finishes somewhat dry, ashy and roasted bitter. Pretty awesome.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Color is as good as black. Beige head with only a small layer retention. Aroma’s of roasted malts, lactose, with tones of chocolate and ground coffee, a little bit of vanilla (actually one of the ingredients). Flavor is only lightly sweet, roasted, chocolate. Body is not too thin considering the 4.5% ABV. Finishes roasted and lightly bitter. Nice one.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. New brewery, like Oedipus also from Beer Temple staff. Black colour, dense creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, hard roasted malts, light dirt, hint of cheese. Flavour is medium sweet, hard roasted malts, bitter chocolate, light fruity sweetness, light milky, bitter finish with some moccha. Medium-bodied, especially considering ABV, creamy mouthfeel. Well-made, hope their future beers will be equally enjoyable.
