BOTTLE 50 CL. Almost black, ruby highlights, dark beige coffee head. Aroma has some chocolate and dark malts, as well as subtle but clear spicy/oaky smoky notes. The taste is close to the aroma, but more dry - like a stout. Subtle chocolaty notes here as well, cereals and prickly carbonation. Spicy hops and smoke blend together in the moderately bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle @ U Kunstatu, Prague. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, smoke, ashes, hops and has a nice bitter finish.

0,5l bottle bought a day before at Pivoteka Krizova, Brno. As "Cesky Krumlov Nakoureny Svihak Pivo Tmavy Lezak 5.2%". BB 31.03.2016. dark brown color, medium big tan head. smells smoked, light bacon, spices, light roast. nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of smoke, rather bitter, spices, sausages, also rather creamy, grass. finishes with light roast and rather grassy bitter with some smoke and spices notes. not bad but the bitterness on the finish is rather disturbing. Overall decent but could be a lot better.

0,5l bottle bought a day before at Pivoteka Krizova, Brno. As "Cesko Krumlovske Pivo Eggenberg Old Czech Beer Svetly Lezak". BB 12.03.2016. yellow / almost golden, clear shiny color, small white head. smells tobacco, very light sweetness, grains, rather grassy. medium body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes grains, grass, tobacco, very light underlying sweetness. finishes rather grassy bitter. decent, but not overly special, a bit boring for me, and the bitterness at the end is a bit disturbing. Overall OK.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 01.11.15. Ebony. Brown head and lacing. Aroma of dark syrup, dark malt and smoke. Similar taste, with even more smoke. Perhaps a bit waterish.

Flaske fra Holmens importavdelig, delt med importøren selv: brunsvart med fint lysebrunt skum som varer. Litt kaffe, røyk, fenalår og solbær i aromaen, og dette blir mer fremtredende i smaken etter hvert som temperaturen i glasset stiger. Slank og balansert, røykpreget er ganske diskret. Tørr avslutning.
