Bottle shared by Jcwattsrugger. Pours light copper amber with off white head. Nose of pineapple, caramel malts, apple core and pine. Taste of same but muted with lots of dry grains and some off notes. Light to medium body. Finishes dry.

Pours a deep orange brown amber color with a huge creamy off white head that persists forever. Smells of citrus and pine with enough caramel and toffee to provide some balance. Taste is malty with brown sugar and caramel off set with some pine and citrus. Grapefruit apricots resin and a little bit of sharp astringency. It’s a bit on the sweet side for me. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation and a sweet almost syrupy mouthfeel. I’m not digging this one as much as their other beers. Its a bit dark for the style, its a bit sweet, and it could really use some more hop flavor and aroma. Not bad, but could be better.

Pours a deep reddish copper color with a healthy white head that shows moderate retention and lace. Smells of bready, toffee and caramel malts with just enough floral and earthy hoppiness to keep this fairly balanced. Taste is kind of sweet and a bit heavy on the caramel. Lightly fruity flavor with just a hint of chocolate and enough floral earthy hops to almost counter the sweetness. Finishes fairly dry with a lingering earthy hop bite. Medium body and level of carbonation with a sweet slick almost syrupy mouthfeel. Nice pale ale, but a little heavy and sweet for the style although I would drink this again.

Here we have the first beer available from the convenience store that opened a homebrew shop next door then decided to become a brewery as well. Pours a solid black color without much of a head, but a smattering of bubbles persist in a ring on top and leave spotty lace on the way down. Smell is roasty and chocolatey with some brown sugar and caramel thrown in as well as some balancing earthy hops. Taste follows the smell quite well. Lots of roast and chocolate with bits of caramel toffee and a hint of earthy hop flavor. Medium body with a bit of a dry finish, moderate to light carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Wow, I didn’t expect to be so impressed with this one but damn this is one fine beer here. I think I’ll have to pick up some more before the word gets out.
