med dark brown color. Chocolate malt, coffee, a touch of chocolate. Excellent chocolate malt, dark fruit, burnt sugar in the mouth. Very low hops. Extremely well put together. Amazing depth. Linger chocolate malt and burnt raisin finish. If you don’t appreciate brown ale this will make you.

Deep golden color. Orange peels, ginger and a bit of coriander. Malty, moderately dry, OK balance. Just kinda straight down the middle. Certainly not bad, but nothing exciting at all.

Draught at the Yokohama GJBF 2012. Nice nose, quite like a helles but with a bit of rice underneath. Cloudy gold color. Sweet flavor, very sweet and ricy. Not all the pleasant. Not much hop, just sweet and fruity. Ok but too sweet and coying rice flavor.

Draught at the Keyaki Hiroba Autumn Festival 2012. Amber-orange color, cloudy, with a low head. Spicy, yeasty nose, esters, caramel. Medium sweet flavor, peach, banana, caramel and chocolate. Dry, lightly bitter in the finish. Well balanced, smooth, and drinkable, but a bit bland.

Draught at the Ji-Beer Festa in Hiroshima, 2012. Deep gold, tinge of amber. Nice head. Malty aroma, lightly hopped. Nicely balanced flavor, rich malts, earthy hops. Good bitterness. Well done but not really surprising.

Draught at 2012 GJBF Osaka. Deep amber-light brown with lace. Aroma of cherry, sakura mochi. Big sakura mochi flavor, a little caramel and grape (I would guess it has pickled cherry leaves added). Light hops. Really interesting with rich, tasty malt and good flavor. Nice but not really my thing.

Draught at 2012 GJBF Osaka. This was advertised as a long-aged version of their Premium Bock, and seems quite different to the previous ratings here. A maibock. Thick, honey golden with a huge, thick head. Really nice bready, biscuity nose with honey, peaches. Very tasty. Bready, malty, nice fruity, peaches stewed with honey, a bit of alcohol and a bit of hop. Really comes together beautifully. Great maibock.
