Draught at 1020. Great grapefruit nose, subtle and refined but juicy and ripe. Deep, very cloudy yellow, a dull pastel. Big grassy hop flavor, grapefruit, light malt, low sweetness, but bready. Soft body and carbonation. Great, very refreshing.

As much as you can expect from a sakura (cherry bloosom) yeast beer, this is about the best you could possibly do. Moderately sour, superbly balanced, dry with bits of funk here and there, it is surely one of Japan’s best wild ales (the best?). It surprised at how good it was, as my expectations were low, but overall it isn’t earth shattering.

dark amber color. A lot of dried apricots and a bit of milk chocolate. Moderately sweet. A bit muddled. Not sure what it wants to be, thought certainly not bad.

Draught at 1020. Pretty deep gold color. Malty nose, light citrus hop. Rich malt flavor, not too sweet, but grainy cereals, light cherry, and nice overall fruitiness. Nice body. Good beer.

Draught at JCBF 2012. Fruity nose, funky too, cherry. Nice fruit flavor with tart cherries and a nice wild edge of barnyard tartness and funk. Smooth and full. Interesting and not too sweet. Really good wild ale.

Draught at Eni-bru. Slightly cloudy deep gold with lace. Yeasty, spicy malt nose with medium citrus (lemon). Sweet, fruity flavor with peach, orange, maybe melon. Spicy, with a nice tingly peppery hop and alcohol, stewed peaches. Very tasty, quite hoppy. Smooth and yet tingly-carbonated mouth feel. Very well done clean, hoppy tripel. Great for the first try.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-tan with lace. Big fruity noise, citrus, orange, peach. Spicy, with low banana. Nice. Sweet and strong flavor, orange and peach, somewhat cakelike. A bit unbalanced and thin, sounds very different to what Jonno rated at the brewery. Good, but room to improve.

Draught at Q-Brick. Faint nose of iron, fruit, cherry, light caramel. Glowing orange amber color with a fine, low head. Very fruity flavor, grape, cherry. Malty, with caramel. Sweet, with low bitterness but some English hop flavors. Tasty and very British but too sweet. Nice malt character.
