Kizakura Lucky Chicken 5.5% Red IPA Malty sweet and spicy aroma, I wasn’t expecting much but this amber red brew with it’s foamy beige head seems promising. Full bodied with a slick viscous quality and scratchy carbonation. The taste is sweet caramel syrup/molasses (McDonald’s soft cream topping) and pine. Actually not so bad, old school and malt forward for sure but definitely in the same realm as many American Red IPAs I’ve had. Alright.
Not sure why they call it "pale ale", when it's clearly not. Very light, some nice bitterness, and quite grainy. Unfortunately, not much else happening there. Very drinkable, nothing offensive, but maybe a tad boring.
Smells very floral, almost perfumy. Taste is fairly bitter, a bit nutty. Smooth mouthfeel, easy drinking, quite thick considering the ABV. Very interesting, not like something I had before. Quite enjoyable, and good fun to drink.

Sake on draft wowza at Seito Sushi. Clear pour. Nose nose of melon, spice and florals. Taste of watermelon, Asian pears, white flowers, peppery. Some booze present and thicker bodied.

Bottle from Isetan as simply Mattcha and 9%. I suppose it is the same beer. Herbal nose, lemon candy, matcha tea, cabbage notes. Dark, dark cloudy green with a medium off-green head. Candy sweet, with matcha latte, veggie notes and again a fake candy-like lemon background. Matcha flavor is sweet and fake. This is pretty nasty.

Can from Yamaoka. Light, crisp malt, somewhat ricy, lemony, grapefruit. Pretty solid session ipa nose. Lightly hazy medium gold, medium, fine head. Crackery malt, slightl sweetness, decent prickly hops with citrus. Rather crisp. Slightly weird roughness in the finish. Decent enough. The finish is getting more annoying as I go along, though.

350ml can from Garden, Jiyugaoka. Pours golden yellow, some white foam. Nose has light spice, candy, freshly cut kabocha. Taste has some vegetable thing going on, caramel candy, Soviet lemonade and light dryness in the finish. Pretty underwhelming as far as pumpkin beers go, drinkable but feels weird.

350ml from Garden, Jiyugaoka. Lightly cloudy amber pour, beige foam, quite foamy actually. Malty nose, sweetish with a toich of hoo character. Rustic. Tastes malty, black rye bread with sone rye spices. Lingering bitterness closer to the finish. Pretty basic but not bad.
