Bottled 5/17. From a random shop in Koornang Rd Carnegie. Room temp, about 15C. Very pale yellow. Still. Funky damp rice ball aroma, some old lemon. A slight sourness that lifts the fat rice flavours away at the end. Slightly peppery. Pretty decent. A slightly drier finish would have worked for (still know nothing about sake) me.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Tom L. Golden. Graininess, minerals, a bit of vegetables, a bit sweetish, bitterish finish, rather light-bodied.

Deep orange, not really transparent - and with a measured white head. Wheat spice in the nose, citrus peels and a bit of wet paper also there for some reason. Taste is wheaty, some citric notes and yes, also something sour-fruity. Cannot really spot yuzu although finish gets more grape seed bitterness and maybe, just maybe some yuzu peel spices as well. I think they didn’t use fresh fruits, probably some kind of extract. Sansho pepper is more easy to spot - at least when you know to look for it. Bit astringent and balance could be better. Overall, not really my thing, but still a bit better than expected.

Found a can of this from a cheap supermarket in Yokohama. Pours cloudy amber, decent beige foam top, stays. Aroma is malty-hoppy, quite sturdy body for the abv. Some citrus hops coming out from the body, strong caramel, black bread roast. Nothing over the top, still a simple brew - but much better than I expected, quite a surprise actually.

2016 can. Fruity, perfumy, spicy nose, lemon, orange, pumpkin comes through quite strongly. Hazy golden color with a low, thick head. Fake fruity flavor, like a pumpkin and peach tart candy or something, strange spicing. Very thin. Pretty bad, but a bit too old as well, though it has been refrigerated for the whole time. Bitter spice finish.

The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry cardboard malt, slightly tart citrus fruit, light dry spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
