Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy brownish amber.Light chocolate aroma. Sweetish and fruity with notes of plum and much lighter body than expected for a 7% beer. Confusing, yet refreshing.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow, rich head. Citric coriander aroma. Mid-dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Light flavoured, yet very refreshing. Uncomplicated, but highly quaffable and pleasant.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale yellow, fair sized head. Neutral nose. Sweetish and spritzy with light bodied and equally light flavour. Slightly salty. Drinkable, but not very intriguing.

Bottle. This has rice and sake-koji in it as well as this “Japanese Basil.” Pale pink color. Unappetizing. Sweet, fruity aroma of gummy bears, not much like shiso at all. Sweet at first, then a drying finish, with a slight candy flavor. Doesn’t work.

Tap at the brewpub. Medium amber color with reddish tints. Light and dry flavor of caramel, a bit of chocolate, and some cherries. A bit funky—from the yeast, maybe? Just enough fruit to make this dry beer work. Very original, interesting. Hard to decide just what I think.

On tap at the brewpub. Fruity witbier aroma with spices and big citrus. Retrained fruitiness, with a good underlying dryness and a dry finish. Clean, crisp wheat malt flavor that is not at all cloying. Good stuff. Very refreshing. Probably the best of their beers.

Tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow color. Dry wheat flavor. Rather fruity and inoffensive, but the wheat character is not outstanding. Easy drinking yet not really interesting.

Bottle. Amber-orange color. Aroma of beans, Japanese “kinako” powdered bean dessert. Sweetish, chocolate nd kinako flavor, with a drying finish and vaguely sake-like yeast. Interesting , original, and drinkable.

On tap at the brewpub. Fruity, with rather rich malt and a decent hop bitterness. Finish is dry, body and flavor rather light. Easy-drinking and enjoyable but not really exciting.

On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow color. Thin, light flavor of sake yeast, with a light fruitiness, mostly green apples. Dry finish from sake yeast. Light and slightly fruity, a bit of interest from the sake yeast, but not much to offer.
