Bottle, 375ml corked. (thx to papsoe) It pours an unclear, orange, with some white bubbles on top. Barnyard aromas blend with citric and sour scents and is quite pleasant. Citric and acidic flavor with barnyard as well. Astringent, medium mouthfeel. It is a nice lambic, but a bit anonymous. (070510)

Verhaltener Antrunk ohne spürbare Säuerlichkeit. Diese setzt erst später ein, dazu ist es sehr trocken und minimal hopfig. Weiterhin etwas wässrig, zum Ende aromatischer und wenig sauer. Allgemein ein rundes und stimmiges, aber erst spät wirklich gut werdendes Lambiek. 11/9/10/12//11

6.5%, bottled (2005 vintage). Sampled at Helsinki Beer Festival (Thanks to Tranquillity & his girlfriend for this one!). Hazy murky dark red colour with red/pink head, which goes away fast. Aroma is cherries, some vinegar and even other red berries. Flavour is quite the same. Richer than many other Krieks I have had. Excellent thing!

Bottle. Sour aroma, a little earthy. Hazy dark copper colour. OK white head. Low carbonation, but enough. The flavour is nicely sour, a very clean, lemony sourness. A bit like a nice, freshly squeezed lemon. Light mouthfeel. Finishes slightly watery, but the sourness keeps it a top beer.

Bottle served hot @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Dark red color with a smal pink head. Aroma is glögg with cherries with spices like cinnamon, clove. Flavor is heavy bitter, cherry with some lambic notes. Not my favorit warmed kriek !

Dark red-brown beer with a small pink rim. Very spicey nose, like glühwein spices and heated cherries from the glass pot. Once the cherries were out of the pot, there’s the cherry "juice" left. This has been heated with cinnamon and cloves. Thin, with a cherry/spice astringency. Talk about a missed opportunity! Good stuff from the Cam and spices, for such a poor result. Maybe lambic-based fruitbeer is just to thin for this kind of purpose.

Bottle 09/2005 from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp. Raspberry red colour, no head. Mulberry red actually. Farmyard sour with some cherry. Full in mouth, juicy cherry fruit and raspberry too. Quite pippy. Farmyard aroma is rather good. Vinous aroma. Some raspberry ripple vanilla in mouth. Finish has cherry, raspberry, pippy sourness. Good length. As good as Boon Kriek? No, but still a good kriek with great integrated fruit.

An unclear dark red beer with a very thin red head. The aroma is strong and totally dominated by cherries, while the flavor has a nice sharp acidity which blends really well with the strong cherry notes.

37.5cl bottle. Date on bottle is 09 2004. Very deep gold with thin white head. Very sour funky aroma. This is sour lemon fruit and just fantastic. Bit of toffee too. Really interesting. I like the Girardin gueuzes, but this is definitely sharper. Took around 1.5 hours to drink it all. Boy its sour. 3.8 early rating. at Huis de Cluuse Brugge. stupidly drinkable. yes sour yes challenging but its great. just makes me happy. Some cereal. some cream texture. i mean it is delicious. better than Girardin or Boon Oude?? who knows. it has certainly made me happy. just quality.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm 29 Apr) Colour is dark brown with orange notes, hazy, almost no head. Nose is acidic and musty with hints of stable, leather, horse and some nutty almond notes. Some sulphur in the beginning, but it disappears after a while. Taste is musty, surprisingly fruity, acidic and harsh, initially some sweetness and some bitterness in the finish. Very complex and nice.
