Draught Small yellowish head over hazy red-brown beer; served way too cold. Very fruity nose, red fruit, yeastesters and slighlty cheesy. Typical yeastester and fusel/aldehyde infested beer, witnessing cruelly high fermentation temperatures. Liquorice and fruitessences. Very thick, alcoholic, fuselsburn. Oh. Somebody following all the urban legends considering Belgian beer.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a small white head that leaves good lace and is slow to fade. Aromas are of huge, spicy, dank and pungent hops. Lightly spicy hop character, medium tropical fruit. Yeast seems to be clean. Very, very dank hoppy character (CTZ). Flavors are slightly sweet, papaya or mango like tropical fruit, dank, hoppy, pungent, with a quite bitter finish. Medium-low malt presence. Medium bodied, slightly lower carbonation, dry with a somewhat warming finish.

Both cask and tap versions. Pours with a clear golden bronze hue with a large and lasting bone colored head with great lace. Aromas are hoppy, dank, floral, tangerine, resin, pungent, spicy high cohumulone hops. Smells a bit like a pine forest. Mild esters. Flavors show a touch of malty sweetness up front, light tropical fruit, pine, resin, cohumulone. Bitterness doesn’t linger much. Mildly warming. Big bodied, spicy, a touch sweeter than I generally like, mild carbonation.

On tap. Pours with a hazed, vibrant yellow body with a large white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are nicely funk, a bit of pineapple/tropical brett C, floral, citrusy, pineapple acidity, mild phenol, black pepper, wood and white wine. Flavors show a fairly large amount of tannin, pineapple esters, ripe green apple, medium lactic sour (clean, no acetic at all), floral, wood, white wine. Medium funky brett (not horseblanket), and a touch grassy in the finish. Medium to lively bubbles, dry, a touch thin. Sort of Temptation-esque. Solid!

Draft. Amber-brown beer with a low dark cream colored head. Malt and light yeasty aroma. Malt and yeast flavor with light caramel and dried fruits. Medium bodied. Malt and caramel lingers with dried fruit and yeast. Not as full bodied as many quads and lacking a little oomph.

Draft. NOT CASK. Amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Chili and earthy aroma with grapefruit. Grapefruit and pine flavor with chili, earth, and backing caramel. Medium bodied. decent bitterness. Grapefruit and chili lingers with pine and caramel. Doesn’t have the intense heat that some other ghost chili beers have had, but there is heat and more of an earthiness added to the beer.

Cask. Pours with a near black body with a tan head. Aromas are of roast, lemon, chocolate, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, fudge and tea. Flavors of orange peel, roast, chocolate, dusty, sweet, bready, cinnamon, cheeros. Light bubbles, medium to fuller bodied. Good, and I was suspicious with the combination.

2011 version in 2012. Pours with a hazed golden hue with a white head and good lace. Aromas are of funk, brett, wine barrel, orange zest, fruity, tangerine, peach, lots of esters. Flavors are funky, tangerine zest, mild acidity, lots of brett, wine wine, floral and fruity with a lot of esters. Medium to slightly lower carbonation. Like a less sour and somewhat more boozy version of Russian River Temptation. Very solid.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a murky mahogany hued body with a lasting khaki head of foam. Aromas are of dark fruit esters, mild phenol and a very strong malt presence. Figs, dates, pears, molasses and leather. Some graininess and mild roast. Flavors are grainy and nutty with a mild, dry chocolate character. Lots of dark fruit notes, plums, dates and figs. Long duration with a dry and a touch roasty finish. Jammy dark fruit character lingers as well. Yeasty with a balancing (or slightly more than balancing) bitterness. Warming with creamy carbonation and a fuller body.
