Pint draft at The Crescent Hill Craft House in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a hazy brown copper with nice lighter tan head. The aroma is toasted nutty malt, a nice citrus floral hop character and a faint soapiness. The taste is the component parts of the nose, in nice balance. The nutty toast malt integrates well with the floral hop character. The soap is not present in the taste. The palate is medium bodied, soft, almost creamy carbonation and a clean nutty finish. Tasty beer.

Draft. Golden body with a white head. Nose is dominated by pepper with notes of toasted grain, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter with the promised blast of pepper. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The strong pepper masks other flavors. Interesting, but couldn’t finish a whole pint.

Draft. Cherry-apple and toffee malt aroma. Dark chestnut with moderate head. Sweet candied cherry, Cabernet, and toffee malt flavor. Moderately bitter orange peel, alcohol, and pepper. Incredibly smooth - doesn’t seem like it is such a huge beer.
