On Tap @ Pioneer Lodge: Deep brown color with some reddish tones, smallish tan head. Aroma is mostly roasted malt with a bit of fruitiness. Taste is rich with roasted malt, fruitiness, a bit of alcohol, and some hops to finish. Overall an enjoyable strong ale and a nice break in between runs at Bogus.

On Tap @ Burger n’ Brew: Rich brown color with reddish tones and a thick head. Aroma is mostly malt with some spices evident. Taste is a smooth maltiness with cloves and a bit of hops to finish. A nice, rich winter ale.

Draft: Pours a nice murky orange amber with a large white head and good lacing. Hops are the dominate presence with floral and ctirus tones mostly. A little grassy as well. Nice balance and overall a well done IPA.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Clear, very dark brown with thin dense light tan head and very nice thin but persistant lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, some chocolate and other porter like notes. Flavor was similar, nice roasted flavors and the wheat gave a very interesting feel. I never though of that combination but may have to try it myself. feel was a bit light for what the color makes you expect, but nice and balanced.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Light golden hazy yellow with a decent white head and lacing. faint light malt aroma. Advertised specifically as not yeasty and thick, but I thought I detected a bit of the german yeast flavors. Just a tad. Tasted light, slightly citrusy, maybe because of the stupid lemo they stuck on my glass, and slightly sweet. It was tall, cold, refreshing and not unpleasant.

On Tap at the BrewPub. Nice deep orange, amber with a small off white head and only traces of lacing. Mild sweet malty aroma. Dont notice much orange or corriander(whatever that smells like). Flavor was sweet lightly toasted malts with the honey actually coming through a lot but again not much the other advertised spices. Medium weight and drinkable. Easy on the bittering but decent all around I thought. maybe I was just thirsty. eh.

I also had this at the Pioneer Lodge at Bogus Basin. Color was a great blonde with a thin head. Taste was watery with only hints of citrus, wheat, and hops. Not a real winner here...

On Tap at the brewpub Very light golden color with a thin but dense creamy head that lasted forever. Nitro? Tons of sheeting lacing all the way down the glass. Quite remarkable actually. Very light malt flavors and quite hoppy. Very thin feel and a soft feel that left me wanting. Papery aftertaste.

On Tap at the brewpub Certainly lives up to its name. And I dont mean the red-jeaded variety. Clear light yellow. No head a mere moment after the glass arrived at my table. Watery feel, lively..no..wait...fizzy. Clean finish though.

On Tap at the brewpub I cant help but compare this to the much better Hopzilla. Lacking in all areas in light of its more robust and flavorfull "brother" Thin, light bodied, I was left wanting more. Except for the slight alcohol flavor that was left standing in the cold. Dissapointing.
