(Can 33 cl) Golden, thin head. Had expected this to be the typical tasteless Ice-beer, but actually it’s a pretty full-bodied lager with a pronounced bitterness. 050703

Bottle. Very spicy aroma, cardamom, cinnamon, cookie spices. Dark brown colour. Very sweet with aggressive cardamom flavour. Seems to give bitterness as well. A bit thick mouthfeel.

Golden color. Very simple aroma and taste; some caramel taste, low bitterness. So far from a Pilsen, really boring.

A red-brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is totally dominated by cardemomme. The flavor is sweet and very spicy, with cardomomme being most dominant.

Bottled, alc. 5.5%, 2004 vintage in 2005 (BB 12/2014)
Dark almost opaque brown color, good creamy expresso head. Aroma has raisins, roasted malts and coffee: roast, sour and sweet. Sticky sweetish mouthfeel, medium-bodied. As expected delicious chocolaty roasted malts dominate palate. Attacking bitterness and slightly hard/flat mouthfeel too. Aging and extra alcohol would do good to this one. (7/5/7/3/15 3.7)
Vintage 2006 in 2006, alc. 5.5%
Molasses, very light roasted notes in the aroma. Slightly burnt molasses, sweetish, plain. Quite industrial taste as fresh. (6/4/6/3/12 3.1)
Bottled vintage 1998 in 2006
Chocolaty, a bit oxidated nose. Wineous, flat, rounded, roasted coffee beans. Not sweet, drier and more chocolaty than 2005-2006 vintages. Unfortunately past its prime. (6/4/5/4/12 3.1)
Vintage 2000 in 2006
Portwineous nose, clean palate - no oxidation. Chocolaty, not sweet. Rounded, propably "the peak" vintage right now. (7/4/7/3/14 3.5)

Bottled (BB 02/2005)
Dark but clear copper brown, small brown head. Lively carbonation. Strong honey nose, slightly malty. Malty, dunkel-like flavor with added honey. Honey flavor tastes quite artifical and it jumps from the palate but still this is quite drinkable.
